6th Primary - Creating podcasts

In Year 6 English lessons, students have taken part in an exciting project: creating their own podcasts in English.

Working in pairs, students went through all the stages of the project. First, they chose a topic that interested them, such as personal presentations, hobbies, interviews, recommendations or short stories. Then, they wrote a script in English, paying attention to vocabulary, basic structures and sharing speaking roles equally.

Once the scripts were ready, students practised their speaking and pronunciation skills. Finally, they recorded their podcasts, focusing on clear pronunciation, good rhythm and intonation. The result is a collection of short, creative and varied podcast episodes.

This project allowed students to use English in a meaningful and communicative way, while also developing their digital skills, cooperative work and confidence when speaking in public. Students were highly motivated and very proud of their final recordings.

A l’àrea d’anglès de 6è hem dut a terme un projecte molt engrescador: la creació d’un podcast en anglès fet pels mateixos alumnes.

Els nois i noies han treballat en parelles i han passat per totes les fases del projecte. Primer, van triar un tema que els motivés (presentacions personals, aficions, entrevistes, recomanacions o petites històries). A continuació, van redactar el guió en anglès, cuidant el vocabulari, les estructures bàsiques i el repartiment equilibrat de les intervencions.

Un cop el guió estava preparat, van practicar l’expressió oral i la pronunciació, i finalment van gravar el seu podcast, posant especial atenció al ritme, la claredat i l’entonació. El resultat ha estat una col·lecció de podcasts curts, creatius i molt variats.

Aquest projecte ens ha permès treballar l’anglès d’una manera significativa i comunicativa, alhora que fomentàvem la competència digital, el treball cooperatiu i la confiança a l’hora de parlar en públic. A més, els alumnes han mostrat una gran implicació i han gaudit molt veient (i escoltant!) el resultat final.
